Consider:

With nomadic herdsmen you have competition for pasture with wildlife and loss of grazing areas due to cultivation.

The very idea of nomadic cattle herding is a transgression upon wildlife and property rights of the farm owner.

The situation is tough because there is not a large scale vision nor plan

Consider planting forage lanes, set aside rows for forage similar to what farmers do in the states.

Plant high nutrition forage products that can be grazed by wildlife and cattle

Plant hemp and corn silage crops, hemp may be pelletized for supplemental feed.

Plant area that are suffering from desertification, soil erosion and soil depletion

Bale wheat, rice, corn stover

Reforestation.

I think the solution is a mix of industrial, farm and herdsmen production. Everybody who makes a living in cattle production needs at least feed and water for the animals, and slaughter and tanning to turn create an income. Dairy production, slaughter, tanning, rendering, biogas, compound feed, fertilizers, veterinary services and use of dung for fiber products become cost efficient in an industrial set up. Farms can produce feed, calves, dairy cows and beef cattle for the industry. Herdsmen can buy feed, water and veterinary services, and sell animals for slaughter, tanning, rendering and fertilizers. In a cooperative approach there is mutual benefit in terms of resources and development.

In reply to Joan (Mother Nature). Very important note here, that we share this planet with others and so need to learn to thrive together. This calls for the development of systems that promote the development of all and not one against the other. Definitely, both animal and human lives are valuable. As mentioned, the manure from the cattle enriches the soil for the production of food to feed humans.

Every one makes a living at what they do their are ways to cooperate with others. Example : plan farmer allowing animals on their land with some food in the field. Where they eat and leave behind manure to enrich the soil so that their is a natural process for the land to stay fertile. I want to say to people that you share this place with others and the problems with the planet is because your belief of your right despite other around who are their for a reason learn some thing new.
